Through a colorful gala dinner, ABITAT was officially launched on the 19th of April 2013. The event which was officiated by his Excellency, Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete and was also attended by the President of TUSKON, Mr. Rizar Nur Meral. TUSKON is the umbrella organization of ABITAT thus the latter presenting TUSKON in Tanzania, among other dignitaries.
Speaking at the event, the guest of honor, His Excellency, the president of the united Republic of Tanzania Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete commended the good work that TUSKON and ABITAT has established in Tanzania. “Turkey has the expertise and more so technology and Tanzania is well endowed with resources thus making the two countries able to implement the trade co-operation agreement of 2010 with ease” He added, I wish to also note that Tanzanians through ABITAT’s initiative will be getting the best there is in terms of quality from Turkey.” He also thanked the Turkish Ambassador to Tanzania Mr. Ali Davutoglu for his great work and support to the business communities in the two countries.
The president of TUSKON (confederation and Industrialists of Turkiye) Mr. Rizar Nur Meral thanked the guest of honor and noted that it was through the president visitation to Turkey that opened eyes of many Turkish businessmen and women to invest in Tanzania.
“Tanzania has lots of potential and especially raw materials for our industries back in Turkey. The peace that is prevailing in this country too makes its suitable for investors “. He
