Exim bank employees join city beautification campaign

Exim bank Tanzania has pledged to support the beautification process of the city of Dar es Salaam in a bid to uplift the city’s image to visitors both within and outside the country.
The bank’s employees during the weekend engaged in a cleaning exercise of the Clock Tower Gardens currently maintained by the Exim Bank.
Speaking shortly after the event, the Exim Bank (Clock Tower) Assistant Manager Ibrahim Ukwaju said city beautification has got a positive impact on economic development including tourism activities.
“Knowing the positive benefits the beautification process of the City of Dar es Salaam can bring by, Exim bank has decided to be a partner with authorities in ensuring that the city looks neat.
“It is no doubt that beautification can reveal the identity of the city or town as a whole, fostering pride and tourist landmarks,” he said.
Ukwaju however noted that there is need for creation of awareness on the matter that will help to create awareness right from the grass root level.
